![]() ![]() 38/.357 (not as much as a S&W Model 60, but very close) and I thought I'd give it a try. 22 LRs, but like you I didn't feel like parting with $800 plus for one.Ī little over 2 years ago I bought an 4.2" SP101 in. I also considered a 617 or one of the older S&W. I chose the 5.5" length as it balances very well and is a bit easier to carry than the 6.5" model. 22 WMR and a convertible Hunter model would make sense. I find this to be odd on two counts, as the rib to accommodate scope mounts and the 7.5" barrel would both be well suited to longer ranged scoped small game hunting in. 22 LR only Single Six Hunter is currently the only version sold with a 7.5" barrel. You can get the Single Six in 4.62" (flush with the ejector rod housing) 5.5", 6.5" and 9.5" barrel lengths, as well a traditional fixed sighted peacemaker looking version in 5.5" and 9.5" lengths. It takes more of an accuracy hit with standard velocity ammo which averages around 3" at 25 yards, which isn't all that impressive. It won't win bullseye matches, but it is still easily MOC (minute of can) accuracy. It's not enough to worry about for most purposes and it's still sub 2" accuracy at 25 yards. 22 WMR (which is very good accuracy for a revolver), and averages about 1 3/4" at 25 yards with high velocity. ![]() My 5 1/2" Single Six averages about 1 1/4" at 25 yards with. 22 WMR and the accuracy concerns, although I found the accuracy hit was a lot less than expected with. ![]() I was correct regarding both the percentage of. (The Uberti Cattleman in it's 6 and 12 shot versions is well made, but it lacks adjustable sights.) 22WMR given the relative cost differences, but I still opted for the Single Six, in large part as it was still superior to the other. 22LR would be negatively affected, in particular as I envisioned shooting. That makes sense from a production standpoint. 224" diameter, 1-14" right hand twist, six groove bore. 22LR only Single Six Hunter all use the same. 22LR only Single Ten, thinking that the bore diameter would be. I researched the issue in depth when I bought it as I was on the fence between the convertible. I've got one in stainless steel that is about 4 years old now. ![]()
